Last March, 2th, the Magister Lvcentinvs-Commercial Law Department lead by Professor Esperanza Gallego has co-organized the Alicante ECTA Round Table entitled: GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS IN THE TURMOIL. UNDERSTANDING OF THE LEGAL REFORM, THE AUDACIOUS CASE LAW AND THE RELATIONSHIP WITH TRADE MARKS.
In this event, hosted by the director of Institutional Relations and Projects of the University of Alicante, Mr. Juan Llopis Taverner, and introduced by the president of ECTA, Mr. Mladen Vukmir, have had as opening speaker the Executive Director of EUIPO, Mr. Christian Archambeau, and different presentations and moderations of experts in this field as: Jordi Güell, director of Güell IP, Prof. Pilar Montero, Director of the Magister Lvcentinvs, Mr. Massimo Vittori, Managing Director of OriGIn, Mr. Benjamin Fontaine, from Ernest Gutmann Yves Plasseraud, Ms Denitza Stoyanova, from the EUIPO Boards of Appeal, Mr. Olivier Vrins, from Altius, Prof. Jorge Moya, from the Commercial Law Department of the University of Alicante, Ms. Katarina Kompari, from EUIPO Legal Department and Aitor Pomares, from Berenguer y Pomares.
It has been a pleasure to speak about the EU GIs Reform and discuss this topic with so many experts in this field.
