Professor Esperanza Gallego Sánchez, Chair of Commercial Law at the University of Alicante and José Antonio Gil Celedonio, Counsellor for Industry and Tourism at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union are the directors of the book: The Constitutional Dimension of Intellectual Property. This is the a result of the Chair of Intellectual Property of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office OEPM and the Commercial Law Department of the University of Alicante, organizer of the Magister Lvcentinvs, Master in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation of the University of Alicante.
This book offers a comparative and systematic study on the implications between fundamental rights and intellectual property. The collective work analyses the interferences between the digital innovations promoted by the European Union and the risk to fundamental rights that European policies on the environment or the protection of personal or open data may pose.
This book considers these aspects by analysing the issues from the perspective of each of the intellectual property rights. The authors, all of them professors at Magister Lvcentinvs, are also researchers on the Prometeo CIPROM/2021/57 Research Project, for research groups of excellence. We would like to thank the Chair of Intellectual Property of the University of Alicante and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office for their support in the preparation of this work.
