Concession of the Grant corresponding to half of the fee for the XVI Magister Lvcentinvs (2009/2010).

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and Magister Lvcentinvs Grant for the XVI Master of intellectual Property and Information Society Law has been conceded to:

Offer of six scholarships, offered by the University of Alicante in collaboration with the Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office. The scholarships will cover one half fee each, corresponding to the full course of the  XV Master in Intellectual Property and Information Society Law (2008-2009 academic year)

The proposed aids are the fruit of an initiative in the framework of the existing Collaboration Agreement between the University of Alicante and the SPTO to develop activities in the field of IP. They are specifically addressed to students proceeding from Latin America and the countries of the Mediterranean Basin which are not part of the UE.

To apply for the scholarship you should:

• Be a national from or have permanent resident in a country of Latin America or on the coastline of the Mediterranean
• Have a degree in an IP compatible field
• Meet the requirements to be admitted to the Master of IP and IS Law. (www.ml.ua.es)
• Previously have sent your pre-registration form and the documentation necessary for consideration as applicant of the XV Magister Lvcentinvs

The scholarships will be given based on the merit of the candidates curricula. Particular attention will be given to the candidates potential for dissemination of the acquired knowledge.

Candidates applying for the Magister and wishing to apply for the scholarship should present the following documentation before 30 April 2008:

• Motivation letter, related to the desire to follow this course and justifying the request of a scholarship
• Curriculum vitae
