EL RECTOR DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE ALICANTE.tiene el honor de invitarle al Solemne Acto de Clausura de la XVII edición del Magister Lvcentinvs, que
tendrá lugar el viernes 17 de Junio del 2011, a las 19.00 horas, en el Museo Universitario de la
Universidad de Alicante.
El acto contará con la participación del Director General de la Organización Mundial de la Propiedad
Intelectual, D. Francis Gurry, quien pronunciará la conferencia de clausura sobre la propiedad industrial e
intelectual y la sociedad del conocimiento.
Al finalizar el acto se servirá un vino de honor

| NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Technology stocks led stocks higher Tuesday and the sector again could dictate the action on Wall Street Wednesday after Microsoft announced it was ending stock options to employees. |

Shares of Microsoft (MSFT: Research, Estimates) lost 22 cents to $27.48 in after-hours trading after the world‘s largest software maker announced late Tuesday that it will begin awarding employees actual shares of Microsoft, rather than stock options, starting in September.
Shares of aluminum producer Alcoa (AA: Research, Estimates) rose $1.01 to $26.82 in after-hours trading after the company beat Wall Street‘s profit estimates for its second quarter.
Shares of Gymboree (GYMB: Research, Estimates) lost 85 cents to $15.05 in after-hours trading after the children‘s clothing retailer said it expected second-quarter results to be at the lower end of its previously guided range of a loss between 2 cents and 4 cents a share.
A tech-inspired rally pulled stocks higher Tuesday, as investors also took in a pair of high-profile deals in the trucking and software sectors. For more on Monday‘s market action, click here.
In earnings news, Internet bellwether Yahoo! (YHOO: Research, Estimates) reports its second-quarter results Wednesday. Analysts expect the company to post a profit of 8 cents a share, up from 3 cents a share a year earlier.
Much of the news on the economic front is expected later in the week, including the latest update on weekly jobless claims, due Thursday, and the Labor Department‘s June report on the producer price index (PPI), which measures wholesale prices in the United States, due Friday.
